Good News!

I am thrilled to announce that my REVISED Crochet Barn Owl Pattern is in my Etsy shop! (https://www.etsy.com/listing/204352891/crochet-barn-owl-pattern-pdf?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=crochet barn owl&ref=sr_gallery-2-30) I also included the original pattern with it, however I would suggest you start with the revised version. Also, I will gradually be emailing the revised version out to everyone who has purchased the pattern already. If you are one of those people, please be patient as I have over 500 sales to sort through O-O

Revising it was definitely a challenge since every time I fixed/rearranged something it would mess up something else (if you've ever tried to arrange text with pictures in Word, you'll understand). So yeah...that kinda drove me insane...but it's done now!

I will, of course, still be available to answer any questions; just not as often as I am still in college, working, getting my life together, etc.

Thanks everyone!
Rebekah

Another Update

Hello all!  Once again, I apologize for my lack of posting.  Life's been crazy these last few years.  However, I have had many inquiries about this and just wanted to let you all know:

My open winged barn owl pattern is currently not available due to clarity complaints. I had previously offered to sell the pattern to those who were willing to try it, as only a fraction have disliked the pattern. Of course alongside that I would help anyone who had questions or problems with it. However I just started college a week ago and therefore do not have much extra time to help. I also had a few people who were disgusted with the price/quality of this pattern and this prompted me to remove it from my shop until I have time to finish revising it during Christmas break.

I'm very sorry if this causes any inconvenience! Like I said, I should have it back in my Etsy shop either late December or early January.

Thanks,
Rebekah

Amigurumi Contest

Hello everyone!  So I saw this circus amigurumi contest and decided to dress up a couple of my little guys for the occasion.  I ended up entering "Midnight the Circus Pony" and "The Ringmaster Pig".  I'm pleased with how they turned out and hope they do well.  But they need your help!  You can go to: www.amigurumipatterns.net/designcontest/vote and vote for your favorite five designs (which will hopefully include a certain horse and pig).  Voting closes December 9th.  Thanks!

About the Baby Dragon Pattern...

Hello everyone!  I know many of you have asked about my baby dragon pattern and I said that it would be on by February.  That was my original plan; however since then I have been thinking about how I would go about writing the pattern (since I wanted it to have several baby dragon designs in it).  I found a solution that (I consider) to be both creative and time consuming.  Due to this fact, I decided that I didn't want to rush it and therefore will be putting it on Etsy sometime in the near future.  I'm sorry about the delay!

Crochet Large Barn Owl!

I know a few of you have been wanting my opened wing barn owl pattern, so on September 22 I will be putting it in my Etsy shop (see top right)!  I'm putting it on then because September 22 is the two year anniversary of my Soren the Barn Owl post!

As you can see, my second opened wing barn owl is a little different from my first one.  Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get his wings open and close.  I did make a wing with sixteen individual feathers, but it was WAY too complicated to put in the pattern.

This is a VERY complicated pattern, so if you need any help you can always contact me, and I'll get back to you as soon as I can.

I hope you like how he turned out!

Graduation Cap

Congratulations to all the Graduates of 2014!  Here's a little graduation cap I made.

Materials:
F hook
Yarn needle
Black yarn
5 Stings of Embroidery Floss, 3in long each (I used yellow)

Top of Cap (using black yarn)

1. ch 9, turn, sc across-8
2-8. ch1, turn, sc across-8
Now, slst around on each side (slst in and on the side of each st) There should be about 32st-F/O

Bottom of Cap (using black yarn)

1. ch 16 and join, making a ring-16
2-3. sc in each st around-16-F/O

Assembly:
Take one string of Embroidery floss, fold it in half, and knot both pieces of string together at the end.  Then, (using your hook or the yarn needle) pull it through the middle of the Top of Cap(the knot should be big enough so it stops the string from being pulled out)  Take three more strings and pull them (together) half way through the loop that was formed from your last string.  Fold the three strings in half around your last string.  Then, take another string, tie it around the end of the three (now six since folded in half) strings a few times, and cut off both ends.  Sew bottom onto top.

Baby Toothless!

PATTERN HERE: https://www.etsy.com/listing/239322800/sale-crochet-baby-dragon-pattern-pdf

. . .

OK, first of all, I will tell you that this is not a pattern. :(  I just wanted to show you this new baby toothless I finally finished a couple days ago.  And to remind you that How To Train Your Dragon 2 is coming into theaters on June 13!  I'm a little nervous, considering that sequels are almost never as good.
Since he is a baby, his eyes are huge and embroidered on.  I hope you like him!
I'm also planning on making some of the other dragons, so let me know what you like!

Toothless the character belongs to his original creators.

Happy Easter

I hope you had a great Easter on Sunday!  All the egg hunts, Easter bunnies,  chocolate ;), and the hope that Spring is on its way. But most of all, the hope we now have in Jesus.  And that is what Easter is all about.
